Thanks to Veronica for many of the knitted vegetables and for the fantastic knitted vegetable stall, which will be on display in a shop window soon.
Mary, Sarah and everybody concerned with the organisation of this year’s festival. Good luck to you all for a very succesful event
Thank you Dave for your best wishes. And another big thank you to Veronica for knitting not only vegetables – but also two bakers (which will also be on display very soon)! As we left the bakery this evening, Edwina Finn was closing up her lovely shop Botanic, after organising a special showing for the winners of the children’s art competition. Jak Mansell was putting the finishing touches to her fabulous food-themed window next door. And Francis Huntington was installing images of Wye’s food shops from the past in the window of no.9. Elsewhere, there will be lots of last minute activity aimed at making the Food Festival a success, and enjoyable for everyone. If you’re going to any of the events, do take your camera and enter the photo competition (look out for posters in and around Wye, or check out wyeweb and the WBA’s web site).
