Early this morning from the Crown down, Wye was under a blanket of mist. The Downs certainly were not visible. As the sun pushed its way up from behind the Crown, slowly the mist rolled down the field exposing the sheep which had been visibly lost beneath it. Rolling on down towards the River Stour the mist created this Japanese like scene.
This Autumn start to our day here in Wye, has resulted in bright sunshine!

At the Parish Council meeting held Thursday 22nd October the Parish Council approved representations on five policy documents that had been referred to it for consultation.
Ashford Borough Council’s Statement of Community Involvement: The PC is concerned about the emphasis given to electronic communication between ABC, the Parish Council and Parishioners, to virtual exclusion of the printed word.
Department for Communities and Local Government Publicity for planning applications: The PC is in favour of streamlining publicity but it still wants newspaper publicity to continue.
Streamlining information requirements for planning applications: The PC is keen to retain strict information requirements for applications relating to the conservation areas and the AONBs.
Improving Permitted Development rights (for businesses): The PC does not want permitted development rights to be extended at the expense of conservation areas and the AONBs.
Planning for Historic Environment: The PC is keen to ensure that local planning authorities take full account of any historic assets that may be affected by planning applications.
