Didn’t Wye Do Well?

Only the brave would have predicted at the end of a terrible August that the Saturday of Wye Fayre would have dawned fair. But dawn fair it did and, thanks to many hands and many hours the village came alive for a communal get-together that we hope will be repeated annually. Here, rather belatedly, we have a few more memories in the form of video clips. The clips , although edited are rather long so please be patient when downloading. As usual we apologise for any technical shortcomings.

Thanks again to all who made it so enjoyable.
Don’t forget Farmers’ Market and Morris Dancing this coming weekend.

A silent collection of our Fayre.

Wye needs the youngsters and there were many of them too.

Ann prayed for fine weather and some even danced to stop the rain.

The ChillBillies – weren’t they great?

Well I never, who would have guessed that we have SO MUCH talent?

And so say all of us – Karen said it all.

Show Success

Published by Sean Furey under Wye Community Farm

Wye Community Farm had a successful trip to the Edenbridge and Oxted Show over the August bank holiday weekend. Pictured is Sian with Wye Crown Benny the Bull being judged second in their class. How to handle and show livestock is one of the skills to be learned at the WCF farm club, open to all aged 6-16 and held every Monday evening during term time.
In order to develop a new initiative WCF need to recruit more horticultural expertise, so if you have technical or practical input you could make please get in touch via www.wyecommunityfarm.org.uk
